Welcome

The Master's degree course in Business and Law offers a specialized education with in-depth knowledge of law and business as well as key qualifications such as negotiation skills, communication and foreign languages. Students can specialize in “International Business Law” (in English) or “Human Resources”. Graduates find employment in the private sector, public administration and in chambers and associations. Self-employment in the field of tax consultancy or auditing is possible after obtaining an additional qualification. Possible fields of activity include human resources, contract management, compliance, management assistance and insolvency administration.

The Business and Law master’s degree programme provides specialised further education in business and law. The emphasis is on conveying in-depth specialist knowledge in the fields of law, business and soft skills.

A further component of this degree programme is a specialisation in "International Business Law" or "Personnel".

Admission requirements

The admission requirements are described in §6 of the study and examination regulations as follows:

All graduates who already have a first professionally qualifying university degree (diploma, bachelor's degree) with a focus on business law, law, or economics are generally eligible for admission to a master's program in economics and law, whereby in the latter case, sufficient legal knowledge for the aforementioned master's program with a law degree must be evident.

This is usually the case if legal modules totaling at least 15 credit points (CP) have been completed. At least 10 CP must be in general civil law and corporate law.

To be admitted to this program, international applicants must demonstrate their language proficiency. This is demonstrated if applicants have passed the German Language Test for Universities (DSH) with an overall result of DSH-2 or better.

To be admitted to this program, applicants must demonstrate their English language skills, § 9 (5) sentence 2 BbgHG1. The following are accepted as proof of English language skills:

  • at least B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) (recognized certificates in the currently valid version of the guidelines for proof of English language skills for enrollment at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau, or
  • if the bachelor's degree programs mentioned in paragraph 1 include at least one “English” module, or
  • a passed written and oral test at level B2, which is conducted by the Language Center of the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau, or
  • if an English-language semester abroad is proven as part of an accredited degree program.

If the degree program has restricted admission, the regulations of the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau for the selection of students in degree programs with restricted admission, as amended, must be taken into account.

In accordance with the regulations of the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau for the selection of students in degree programs with restricted admission, the following applies – insofar as this degree program has restricted admission , an additional admission criterion is a letter of motivation in English, in which the applicant explains, in at least two and at most three pages, his or her motivation for or identification with the chosen degree program. The letter of motivation must be submitted with the other application documents by the deadline.
