Diversity management at the TH Wildau
TH Wildau's goal is an inclusive and diverse university community in which all members have equal rights and are respected. The university strives to break down barriers and offer equal opportunities to everyone, regardless of their individual characteristics (e.g. gender, sexual orientation, nationality/ethnicity, age, social background, religion/belief or health).
TH Wildau promotes dialogue and cooperation on diversity-related topics and actively campaigns against discrimination, exclusion and prejudice. The work of the diversity manager and the diversity and inclusion working group aims to create a university community in which everyone can realise their full potential and make a contribution.
New diversity manager since April 2025
Ray Trautwein has been working as Diversity Manager at TH Wildau since 1 April 2025. His position is attached to the President Prof. Tippe. Ray Trautwein's goal is to establish diversity as a cross-cutting topic at the university. One of his central tasks is to make diversity ‘tangible’ as an (open) concept at the TH Wildau and in external communication and to integrate it into the university's overall strategy.
Apart from the conceptual and strategic work, he also wants to start a dialogue with university members and find out how diversity is already lived on campus.
Ray Trautwein will also look at possible obstacles and barriers that become apparent in everyday study or work life. The aim is then to overcome these obstacles, which can mean, for example, sensitising people to diversity and anti-discrimination issues.
