Diversity at TH Wildau

Diversity has long been more than just a buzzword—it describes the variety of people with their different perspectives, experiences, and identities. This includes, for example, age, gender, cultural background, sexual orientation, religion, physical and mental abilities, and social backgrounds. This diversity is becoming increasingly visible in our society and workplace and shapes the way we work together and live.

This makes it all the more important to consciously make diversity visible, tangible, and experiential. For only when we recognize, value, and understand differences can we actively create a fulfilling environment in which everyone can reach their full potential. Diversity is not a task for individuals, but an opportunity for everyone—and the key to innovation, cohesion, and sustainable success.

The Diversity Office

Embracing Diversity Together - Organizational Groups and Divisions

The goal of TH Wildau is to foster an inclusive and diverse community at the university, in which all members are treated as equals and are respected. The university strives to break down barriers and provide equal opportunities for all people, regardless of their individual characteristics (e.g., gender, sexual orientation, nationality/ethnicity, age, social background, religion/worldview, or health).

The university promotes dialogue and collaboration on diversity-related topics and actively works to combat discrimination, exclusion, and prejudice. Through the work of the Diversity Manager, in collaboration with the Diversity and Inclusion Working Group and other organizational units and departments at TH Wildau, the goal is to create a university community in which everyone can reach their full potential and contribute.
