University Outreach Hubs in Brandenburg

Through these University Outreach Hubs, you’ll gain quick and direct access to the universities and non-university research institutions in the state of Brandenburg. The seven University Outreach Hubs of Brandenburg’s universities tailor their offerings to meet specific regional needs. They are guided by the respective circumstances in the Regional Growth Centers (RWK), which work closely with you as cooperation partners. TH Wildau operates in three University Outreach Hubs: Luckenwalde, Oderland-Spree | Beeskow, and Westlausitz | Finsterwalde.

University Outreach Hubs are:

• central contact points in rural regions far from universities
• advisory, information, and coordination centers
• interfaces to the entire academic system in Brandenburg

Thanks to the local contact persons, prospective students, businesses, and citizens alike can benefit from the potential of Brandenburg’s entire academic system.

Luckenwalde - Welcome to the Business Park

Creativity and innovation thrive above all when people from different fields work together and experiment. The Luckenwalde University Outreach Hub aims to foster this and has created various innovative tracks to that end:

In the coworking space, you can work on your projects in a quiet, focused environment or develop ideas and strategies as a team.

The Makerspace is all about developing and bringing your ideas to life. It can be thought of as a workshop in the broadest sense.

In the Showroom, you can present your projects or learn about and test out other innovative developments and technologies.

Beeskow - Welcome to the Oderland-Spree University Outreach Hub | Beeskow

The Oderland-Spree | Beeskow University Outreach Hub is a joint initiative of the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) and the Technische Hochschule Wildau – Technical University of Applied Sciences. Located in the Incubator Village Beeskow on Spree Island, it fosters exchange between academia, business, government, and civil society in the Oderland-Spree region. The University Outreach Hub supports the transfer of knowledge to society, provides access to universities and research institutions, and, together with regional partners, develops dialogue and participation formats for the future-oriented development of rural areas.

Successful projects of the University Outreach Hub include the science podcast “Abgeholt—Science to the Fullest”, the Maker and Coder Dojos in Fürstenwalde and Beeskow, and events in the series “Science Meets Society”.

The activities are tailored to the region’s needs. Through networking, the staff at the University Outreach Hub regularly engage in dialogue with various stakeholders from the regional community, educational institutions, the regional business sector, as well as from politics and government. Their suggestions and ideas help shape the University Outreach Hub’s vibrant and diverse range of services.

Western Lusatia | Finsterwalde - Welcome to Southern Brandenburg

The Westlausitz University Outreach Hub │ Finsterwalde provides information and advice on topics related to science and research. You can get answers to your questions about degree programmes, academic continuing education, workforce development and personnel transfer, research projects, and collaborations with universities.

It offers high school students, prospective students, current students, graduates, businesses, and interested members of the public easy, fast, and direct access to all of Brandenburg’s universities and research institutes. Take advantage of these opportunities. Network with other partners from academia, business, the Westlausitz region, and society at large.

Whether in Senftenberg, Lauchhammer, Schwarzheide, Großräschen, or Finsterwalde, this diverse range of services is available to anyone interested right there on site.
