Diversity topics in a nutshell
A new online format of the KpE will be launched in the winter semester 2025/2026. Together with other experts from inside and outside the university, Lunch & Learn offers one-hour, exciting input on a wide range of university-related topics.
It starts with a series of sessions on diversity topics, which we present in cooperation with our Diversity Manager Ray Trautwein. Experts will provide accessible input from their field of knowledge and will then be available for a moderated Q&A.
The series starts on 7 October with a presentation by Dr Judith Muster (Metaplan®) on the topic of ‘Diversity - a question of leadership?’
Tune in and be inspired!
Former and current students network
On 14 October 2025, our popular exchange format for students and alumni will enter the next round - for the first time as part of the THCONNECT career fair.
Two alumni will talk about their career path after graduating from TH Wildau and give valuable career tips. Students can ask any questions they wouldn't ask a professor - join in!
Our focus topic for this THtalk alumni x student: Career as a Deutschlandstipendium scholarship holder & career entry as an international student on the German labour market
Welcome to the Career Centre website!
The Career Centre for Professorial Development (KpE) offers information and services concerning your professorial career at TH Wildau or another Technical University of Applied Sciences (UAS, German: HAW).
UAS are a type of university that is very popular in the German-speaking countries. In comparison to regular universities, research at the UAS is particularly practice-oriented. Professors cooperate closely with partners from industry and business to find solutions to urgent application-related questions. Unfortunately, the UAS type of university is still little known outside of German-speaking countries, which is why only few international applications arrive for advertised professorships. Yet there are many international candidates who are qualified for a career as a UAS-professor. We would like to attract international professors and support people at different career stages.
About the Career Centre
The Career Centre for Professorial Development is committed to the principle of diversity and consciously promotes the diverse career paths to a UAS-professorship. Since the Career Centre is working against the Germany-wide shortage of experts at Technical Universities of Applied Sciences, it is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space within the framework of the "FH Personal" programme.
