Wildau verbindet. Wildau Connects. - Campus, City, Community
With the event "Wildau verbindet. Wildau Connects – Campus, City, Community" we aim to bring together people from the city and the university while actively promoting dialogue between different walks of life.
The event takes place as part of TH Wildau's 35th-anniversary celebrations. At the same time, the community festival aligns with TH Wildau’s new profile development and current strategic process: the university aims to create spaces for interaction to actively, sustainably, and livably shape society together with the city.
The format pursues several core objectives: building bridges between the university and the city, deepening interaction between residents, students, researchers, and staff, and reducing barriers to engagement. Simultaneously, the event contributes to promoting democratic values and provides an opportunity to broaden knowledge about diverse cultures, regions, and generations.
Who is the event aimed at?
The festival is aimed at a broad audience: members of TH Wildau (students, researchers, staff), employees from research, industry and commerce, as well as the residents of Wildau - ranging from families and seniors to pupils, newcomers, and locals.
What is planned?
-
Interactive & Family Program: Various activities for all age groups, including a creative project by the Witthöft School and offers for children and teenagers by the KjV (Youth Association).
-
International Cuisine: Food from around the world, presented by TH students and staff.
-
Hands-on Science: Exciting experiments and technology showcases presented by professors and researchers.
-
Special Highlights: A red carpet featuring historical costumes, as well as intergenerational activities such as a walk-in map of Wildau, a cultural passport, and virtual reality insights.
