Charge Your Careers … WITH POWERFUL CONNECTIONS – this was the motto of the THCONNECT career fair, which took place on 14 October 2025 in Hall 17 on the TH Wildau campus. Thirty-eight exhibitors presented first-hand insights into a wide range of entry-level and career opportunities for students, graduates and citizens.

‘Welcome to TH Wildau - Technical University of Applied Sciences for this year's THCONNECT,’ were the opening words of Prof. Ulrike Tippe on 14 October 2025. At 11 a.m., the President of TH Wildau, together with Ray Trautwein, Head of Career Services and Diversity Manager at TH Wildau, opened the career fair on campus. A total of 38 exhibitors transformed the foyer, corridors, main lecture hall and seminar rooms of Hall 17 into a diverse exhibition landscape.

This was followed by lively discussions at the stands about internships, working student positions, cooperative theses and job offers after graduation. Those who felt unsure about making direct contact could take advantage of the ‘How to Messe’ offer and thus a tour of THCONNECT guided by Dr. Markus Karbaum, job and career coach, in both German and English. International visitors also had the opportunity to learn about successful application strategies for the German job market in a workshop. TH Wildau also presented itself as an employer for the first time this year with its own stand – ‘Come as you are’ was the motto here. In the ‘THTalk Alumni x Studi’ format, two former students of TH Wildau reported on their individual career paths after graduation. Visitors were able to ask questions and get valuable tips and advice for entering professional life.

‘This year's THCONNECT was a complete success. There were lively discussions at the exhibitors' stands and fruitful exchanges between visitors and company representatives. We put our motto into practice and facilitated many new “powerful connections”. The supporting programme, such as the creation of application photos including professional styling, was also well received,’ emphasises Ray Trautwein.

Awarding of the Germany Scholarship for students at TH Wildau

An important item on the agenda at THCONNECT 2025 was the ceremonial awarding of the Germany Scholarship, moderated and presented by Prof. Ulrike Tippe and Ray Trautwein. The scholarship supports students and applicants whose career paths indicate outstanding achievements in their studies and professional lives. It amounts to 300 euros per month and is funded equally by the federal government and private sponsors. This year, seven sponsors, namely AUKOM Ausbildung Koordinatenmesstechnik e.V., Mittelbrandenburgische Sparkasse in Potsdam, Stiftung Dahme-Spreewald der Mittelbrandenburgischen Sparkasse in Potsdam, Veinland GmbH, Krieger Gruppe, Fördergesellschaft der TH Wildau e.V. and Kjellberg-Stiftung, a total of 13 Germany Scholarships for students at TH Wildau.

‘We would like to thank all our sponsors and are delighted that this year we are able to support 13 dedicated students together with them. As a university, we want to take responsibility so that students can start looking towards their future careers today,’ said Prof. Ulrike Tippe.
