Our journey toward the future
We are living in a time of upheaval:
Demands of all kinds are changing at an ever-increasing pace and becoming more complex. As a university, we too must answer the following questions, among others:
- How do we as a university deal with this dynamic?
- What profile will help us to position ourselves for the future as a whole?
We launched the TH Wildau 2030 strategy process in fall 2022 with these fundamental questions. On this page, we provide information about the background, goals, and current status of the process. We also present the participation formats that are regularly planned and implemented.
We have documented our discovery process below - the presentation is chronological from bottom to top, so that the most recent topics are at the top.
All university members who would like to learn more about the strategic development topics can find all relevant documents in the strategy topic room at the following link:

We develop a comprehensive understanding of our identity by addressing the following questions:
- What role do we fulfill as a university?
- What skills and competencies set us apart?
- What will our future offerings look like?
- How does this shape our self-image?
- What steps do we need to take to achieve our goals?
We derive the following implementation measures:
- We will define development goals for our offerings, structure, working methods, and campus based on the formulated self-image.
- We will develop and implement participation processes that ensure the active participation of the university community and committees in the development process.
- We will communicate the interim results to the university community.
We are translating our new identity into a new look:
- What will the future image and consistent communication strategy for our university look like?
