White Water Kayaking at Austria on the Salsa

Experience a week of nature and its allure!

We playfully kick off in gentle water. Participants will gain confidence, lose their natural fear and quickly get used to the element of white water on calm sections of the Salsa river, one of the most beautiful paddle rivers in the world.

Accommodation:

• Large house with 2 bed rooms
• Large kitchen with everything you need (full inventory available),
• drying room
• Covered washing lines outside
• Washing machine
• Tumble dryer
• barbecue
• Campfire sites
• Very large tent to sit in, with music
• Wood stove in the kitchen, wood stove in the drying room. Solar system. House can be heated at any time, even in summer.
• WLAN internet is available. Unfortunately there is no television (only in the village).
• Lots of space. Many meadows. Lots of forest. Small wild torrent by the house. Small waterfalls near the house.
• Bed linen is available on site

The village of Wildalpen:

• A small, extraordinary picture-book village in the Alps
• Only 460 people live in the entire Wildalpen region. Scattered in all directions.
• There is a small petrol station with a small workshop, a well-equipped store, a small bank with an ATM, a café with a range of evening meals and a huge TV, a tourist office. Not far from Wildalpen there is a forest sauna with a dammed white water stream as a cooling pool and a small indoor swimming pool, a hotel which was closed for a long time until recently, a doctor's surgery with pharmacy, a tennis court. An excellent museum.

White water course:

• All white water equipment is provided (boat, paddle, spraydeck, helmet, life jacket, wetsuit, wetsuit jacket and/or spray jacket, long fleece shirt (keeps you very warm), neoprene shoes, wet bag or wet bag).
• The course content depends on the weather and water level. It also depends on the knowledge of the participants.
• The course content and the daily schedule are always discussed in the morning (depending on the weather).
• There is no standard plan for the white water courses. We decide together individually. So that there are no under-challenges or over-challenges.
• The focus is on solid whitewater training in a whitewater kayak. Combined with a high level of technical training and lots of fun in the white water.
• Transfer: We travel together to the kayak course starting points.

Arrival:

Individually on Sunday between 14:00 and 18:00
Having your own car on site is an advantage. We also recommend hiring a minibus for the group for the journey there and back - this can then also be used on site for shopping for self-catering and other activities.

Departure:

On Saturday until approx. 09:00 (extension until Sunday possible by arrangement)
