Kitesurfen at Rügen

Welcome to the Rügen Pirates in Dranske. The spot is located on the Wieker Bodden on the Wittow peninsula and is called the Windland. When there is no wind anywhere, there is still a breeze here in the north of Rügen. There is a large standing area for training. Intermediates and cracks get their money's worth in the rest of the spot.

A big advantage is that the spot works in all wind directions. The surf station has showers, a volleyball court and a bar right by the water. The camps are practice-oriented, so if there is no wind, the first thing they try to do is compensate on other days.
Alternative programs (foil trials, kayak, SUP, wakeboard, theory seminars) are offered if not otherwise possible. As a rule, four hours of training per day are offered.

Start: 

First day 10:00 am in front of the water sports school Rügen Piraten, Am Ufer 14, 18556 Dranske

End: 

Last day until max. 17:00 hrs
All other times depend on the best conditions and are arranged individually on site.

Material: 

All necessary materials are included in the course price. Please bring swimwear to the course, sunscreen and a small amount of food, swimming ability is a prerequisite.

Catering: 

Self-catering (there is a supermarket in the village, the next one is two villages away).
Several restaurants are within walking distance

Bicycle: 

There is a bicycle rental shop right next to the station, open daily in high season, please enquire in low season.

How to get there: 

Car: Carpooling is recommended as there are no direct rail connections and longer distances to cover in rural areas.

Train: to Sagard station and from there by bus to Dranske
