Department of University Policy and International Affairs

The Department of University Policy & International Affairs (HoPo) is your point of contact for issues that affect and promote social interaction at TH Wildau. Integration and inclusion are central tasks of the speakers, who also answer questions about the semester ticket. The department passes on your concerns, supports you in conflicts with the university and informs you about innovations that are coming to the student body.

- Networking - is the big buzzword that describes the University Politics Department. As a university politician, you maintain contacts in many different directions. The speakers encourage a lively exchange of information and opinions.

I'm Davide and I'm studying European Business Management at the TH Wildau in my seventh and last semester!

And for my last months as a student, I've decided to join the student council in the Department of University Politics and International Affairs. Together with Kevin, we are the contact persons for all matters relating to the semester ticket, contacts with the university and life together at the university. One of our main concerns is to make your life together on campus as pleasant as possible.

If you have any ideas or suggestions in the area of university politics, please contact us at politik(at)stura-wildau.de. I am Italian and speak fluent Italian, English, German and Spanish. If you are interested in discussing any topic that is not in German, I could help you!

I am studying for a Master's degree in Automated Energy Systems at TH Wildau and am part of the University Policy Department. My goal is to ensure that students are really heard with their ideas and concerns - whether it's about the semester ticket, inclusion or simply better communication on campus. Thanks to my experience as a student assistant and my involvement in the StuK working group, I already know many of the processes at the university well. I would like to strengthen the exchange between students and the university management and ensure that no one is left alone with questions or problems.

Technology department

The Technology Department is primarily responsible for the administration of online accounts, website maintenance, inventory and is the contact person for technology at events. The department also manages the StuRa's loans.

Yara HennemannOpen areaClose area

Hey, I'm Yara!

I'm studying for a Master's degree in European Management and have been elected to the sustainability department at our university for this term. I think that sustainability is one of the most important topics of our time and (fortunately) our university can no longer imagine life without it. My aim is to drive forward sustainable ideas and projects and integrate them firmly into our everyday lives. I want to promote sustainability in all its facets - be it in the use of resources, in the design of our campus life or in the food we eat in the canteen.

It is particularly important to me that sustainability is not just a buzzword, but can be experienced through concrete measures and joint action. Whether through small steps or larger initiatives: Every change counts!

Do you have your own ideas or suggestions on how we can further strengthen sustainability at our university? Then please get in touch with me at nachhaltigkeit(at)stura-wildau.de. Let's work together on a more sustainable way of life and future!

Student Club Department (StuK)

The new student club “OLYMP” in the heart of Wildau is the new place to go for all students and friends who don't want to travel to Berlin for a cold beer and an evening with friends. Whether in summer on an outdoor beanbag or in winter at our bar with a mulled wine, there is something for everyone. For any larger parties with friends, there is plenty of space upstairs to dance to good music and cold drinks.

The ‘StuK’ department takes care of all matters relating to the student club, from small things such as procuring consumables to training new employees and planning various events.

My name is Brigitte Freier and I'm in the ÖVB-23 degree program.

I've applied for the Culture Department (again) to make our student life attractive and to promote our togetherness so that everyone feels comfortable. Our main task is to organize events such as “Exams Out” or the “Löffelball”, but we are always open to suggestions or collaborations on your part and are happy to receive input. Depending on what time is available, we would also like to offer or try out other things for the “non-partygoers” among us.

Hey,

I'm Leah Skorniakow and I'm in my first semester at ÖVB.

It has always been important to me to volunteer for the community, and that's exactly what I want to do in the culture department. I have already planned and organized events during my professional career to date as well as privately with friends - this is where I discovered my passion for planning events.

In the Culture Department, my goal is to create spaces for encounters and experiences that connect students with each other and strengthen the community. I believe that a vibrant cultural offering not only enriches studies, but also helps to build a strong community. In addition to traditional events, I would also like to create space for new ideas and inspire you to become active yourselves.

Do you have any suggestions or requests? Feel free to get in touch - I'm always open to your ideas!

Hey,

I'm Daniel Kasch and I'm studying business informatics.

I've been working in event management and marketing in a university context for a while now and have gained a lot of exciting experience - whether at major events such as the International Consumer Electronics Fair in Berlin or in local projects.

In the Culture Department, I would like to help make our campus life even more vibrant. My focus is on creating opportunities for students to get to know each other and network. Sure, parties are part of it, but it's about more: spaces for encounters and exchanges that enrich our university life and bring us all closer together.

Do you have ideas for events or do you see things that we should tackle as your representatives? Then get in touch with us! Together, we'll make sure that our campus is a place where people enjoy spending time - and always enjoy coming back.
