Over 100 offers on campus: Numerous interested parties at TH Wildau's University Information Day - HIT - 2025

Last Saturday, 24 May, the diverse programme of the University Information Day at TH Wildau attracted numerous visitors to the campus with over 100 offers. In beautiful weather, interested visitors were able to find out about the university's degree programmes and services at over 40 stands and gain exciting practical insights in the laboratories.
At the University Information Day (HIT) 2025 at TH Wildau - Technical University of Applied Sciences on 24 May, visitors were able to find out about the wide range of courses on offer, gain exciting insights into laboratories and research projects and talk directly to students and lecturers. The campus filled up quickly shortly before the event began and at 10 a.m. Prof Ulrike Tippe, President of TH Wildau, and Frank Nerlich, Mayor of Wildau, jointly welcomed all those present. Susanne Trotzki, presenter of radioSKW, led through the programme.
Flight simulator, racing cars, air pressure force and more
Afterwards, all doors were open in the truest sense of the word. Lectures by professors and lecturers gave those interested the opportunity to get a detailed picture of the process and structure of the respective degree programme. At the same time, they were able to take a look at the associated laboratories and observe, for example, how telematics engineers bring robots to life, how aeronautical engineers take to the skies in the A320 flight simulator or how mechanical engineers mould metal in the primary moulding laboratory.
Science then and now
Visitors were able to experience a piece of scientific history on one of the campus meadows. In a re-enactment of the famous Magdeburg hemisphere experiment from 1657, a horse on one side and seven students on the other tried to separate empty hemispheres from each other. Only after more people stepped in did they separate, demonstrating the power of air pressure. From the past to the future - in Hall 14, curious visitors could try out the latest virtual reality goggles and immerse themselves in virtual worlds. In the Future Mobility Center in Building 24, the team from Wildauer Maschinen Werke presented various model cars and trucks as well as a racetrack and explained how students at TH Wildau work together in a practical and interdisciplinary way.
Once the right degree programme has been found, further questions often arise and employees provided information on financing studies, preparing for studies, applications, admissions and more. The Family Service, University Sports, Sustainability and other departments also presented themselves, providing a comprehensive picture of TH Wildau.
"A great university information day is behind us. There were lots of lively discussions - both during the degree programme presentations and at the stands on campus and in the laboratories. The weather also surprised us positively after the storm and hail on Friday, so it was an all-round successful day. A big thank you goes to all those involved from the entire university who were so committed," emphasised Michael Schmidt, Event Manager at TH Wildau.
"Our HIT 2025 really was a HIT. There was a positive atmosphere in the air from the beginning to the end. The work of the past weeks and months has paid off and now we are looking forward to the application phase for the winter semester 2025/2026 starting on 1 June, when hopefully many prospective students will choose our university," adds Juliane Bönisch, Head of Marketing Communication, Event and Alumni Management at TH Wildau.
