Off to the campus! On 21 May 2022, the University Information Day of TH Wildau will once again take place in presence

On 21 May 2022, TH Wildau invites all interested people to the University Information Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. After two years in digital format, visitors will finally be welcomed back to the campus in presence. They can find out about the wide range of Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau and get to know the degree programmes, service facilities, laboratories and seminar and lecture rooms directly on site.

The countdown is on ... In less than three weeks, on 21 May 2022 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the University Information Day of the Wildau University of Applied Sciences (TH Wildau) will take place. After two years in digital format, the university is pleased to welcome visitors to the most important information day of the TH Wildau in presence again. Pupils, families, teachers and those interested in higher education or part-time courses of study can get to know the university and the Wildau campus live on site on this day.

What is on the programme?

The teams of the study programmes in engineering, computer science, natural sciences, economics and management, technology as well as law and administration will introduce themselves and provide insights into the respective study contents. These events take place on a hybrid basis, so those interested can also attend online. Students, lecturers and professors will answer questions from prospective students first-hand in direct talks. Staff from the service facilities will give valuable tips on topics such as financing studies, preparing for studies and much more. In addition, the laboratories of the degree programmes in automation technology, logistics, mechanical engineering and physical technologies, among others, will open their doors so that visitors can get a taste of practical experience. Most of the other buildings will also be open and offer insights into seminar and lecture rooms. Want to try out the Audimax? No problem. Anyone who wants to take a guided campus tour has the opportunity to do so every half hour. The International Office offers guided tours for refugees from Ukraine in Ukrainian every hour on the hour from 11 a.m. onwards and provides advice on study programmes at TH Wildau in Russian and Ukrainian. In addition, the university library team will give hourly tours of Hall 10 and the humanoid robot lady Wilma invites you to get to know her.

Further highlights of the HIT 2022

The Wildauer Maschinen Werke, a network of a wide variety of degree programmes and research groups at TH Wildau that work together in the context of a vehicle manufacturing company, will present itself with a parcours for its specially developed miniature trucks. Mobility is also one of the topics for the traffic systems engineers. At their stand, interested visitors can examine modern electric cars and how they work. Aeronautical engineering takes the high road. For example, visitors can climb into the flight simulator in Hall 16 or get to know various model aircraft with the students of the "AkaModell" project. Anyone who is interested in innovative ideas and wants to see how and where creative minds are working on new ideas can take a look at the ViNN:Lab, the Makerspace of the TH Wildau, or the newly opened Opp:Lab and Tech:Lab. Here, the focus is on virtual reality, artificial intelligence, 3D printing and much more. The completed Science Box on campus will also bring science to life and illustrate the university's research results. Just in time for the HIT, the exhibition "Knowledge in Motion - 30 Years of TH Wildau" will reopen in Hall 14 and take interested visitors on an exciting journey of knowledge. The chill-out area on the lawn by the water tower will be a cosy place to be, and visitors' physical well-being will also be catered for.
