(German version)

We mourn the loss of our long-standing former colleague, Prof. Dr. Thomas Goldmann, who recently passed away. Prof. Dr. Goldmann was 68 years old.

After completing his doctorate in experimental physics at the University of Rostock in May 1990, his academic career took him to the FHTW Berlin before he found his long-standing place of work at the TH Wildau, initially with teaching assignments.

In 2015, he took over the professorship for Electrical Engineering/Electronics/Sensor Technology in the Department of Engineering and Natural Sciences, which he had previously held on an interim basis.

In addition to his teaching activities, Prof. Dr. Goldmann was heavily involved in academic self-administration and took over the position of examination board chairman in the INW department in March 2014.

Until his retirement in February 2025, he remained an interested member of our university community.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to his family and loved ones.

On behalf of all members of the university

Prof. Dr. Ulrike Tippe
President of TH Wildau

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Alexander Köthe
Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences
