(German version)

We mourn the loss of our colleague, Ingo Kurzweil, who passed away on 27 March 2025 at the age of just 58.

Mr Kurzweil had been employed at our university as an academic staff member in the field of aeronautical engineering since February 2024, working on the ‘5G-Testbed-BB’ project. We were extremely happy to be able to gain such an experienced member of staff.

He was particularly involved in the field of telecommunications technology and microcontroller programming and contributed his extensive experience to the diverse range of tasks in the field. His skills were highly valued and he enriched the aviation technology team with his warm, open, understanding and humorous nature.

Before joining the TH Wildau, he also worked for the organisations Ärzte ohne Grenzen and Deutsche Welthungerhilfe, as well as a development aid worker and development engineer.

He completed his degree in Information Technology at the former Engineering School Mittweida (now: University of Applied Sciences Mittweida) and the TH Dresden.

Our deepest condolences go out to his family and loved ones.
