Connecting cultures - International afternoon on 8 May at TH Wildau

TH Wildau will be presenting itself internationally on campus on 8 May 2025. Together with the university's International Office, students and staff will be presenting their home countries in the foyer of Hall 17, serving culinary specialities for tasting, showing traditional accessories and clothing and inviting intercultural exchange. Interested citizens from the region are very welcome.
With around 20 per cent foreign students from over 70 countries, Wildau University of Applied Sciences (TH Wildau) is a place of diversity. Once a semester, the university's International Office takes this as an opportunity to celebrate this diversity. On 8 May 2025, it's time again for the International Afternoon in the summer semester. The doors of Hall 17 will open from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and invite visitors on an international voyage of discovery. Students and staff will be showcasing traditional products from their countries of origin at 17 stands. They include Bangladesh, Vietnam, India, Ukraine, Morocco, Egypt, Palestine, Turkey, South Sudan, Tunisia, China, Georgia, Spain, Belgium, Costa Rica, Russia and Pakistan.
There are culinary delicacies, typical accessories and symbols, dances, clothing, music and much more. The International Office team will also provide information about exchange programmes, international study opportunities and services. University members and interested members of the public are cordially invited.
"May is here and with it our International Afternoon in the summer semester. Next Thursday, visitors can get to know the diversity of our university in Hall 17. Our students and staff invite you to their country tables to learn about traditional dishes from their home countries. It's an afternoon filled with dialogue, delicious food, music, dance and much more. We look forward to welcoming many curious people from 2 p.m. onwards," says Carolina Winkler, long-standing organiser of the International Afternoon at TH Wildau.
