Conditions of participation in the social media competition

Conditions of participation for the 2024 Advent competition

Participation in the competition organised by Wildau University of Applied Sciences, hereinafter referred to as the operator or organiser, is free of charge and is governed exclusively by these conditions of participation.

Procedure of the competition

The duration of the competition is from 6 December 2024 from 9:30 a.m. to 6 December 2024 at 11:59 p.m. During this period, users will have the opportunity to take part in the competition online.

Participation

Participation is only possible within the participation period. Comments received after the closing date will not be considered in the draw.

Participation in the competition is free of charge.

Eligible participants

Natural persons who are resident in Germany and have reached the age of 14 are eligible to participate.

If a participant has limited legal capacity, the consent of his/her legal representative is required.

All persons involved in the conception and realisation of the competition and employees of the TH Wildau as well as their family members are not eligible to participate in the competition. In addition, the operator reserves the right, at its own discretion, to exclude persons from participation if there are justified reasons, for example

(a) in the event of manipulation in connection with access to or implementation of the competition,

(b) in the event of breaches of these conditions of participation,

(c) in the event of unfair behaviour or

(d) in the event of false or misleading

Prize, notification and transmission of the prize

The following prizes will be raffled off together with the Gesellschaft der Freunde und Förderer der TH Wildau e.V.:

• 1 voucher for a TH Wildau hoodie (white or dark blue),
• 1 voucher for a TH Wildau T-shirt (white or dark blue) and
• 1 voucher for a TH Wildau cotton bag 

from the current collection (as of 6 December 2024) of the official TH Wildau merchandise from CampusWerk (https://th-wildau-shop.druckdichdrauf.de/)

The prize will only be handed over to the winner or to the legal representative of the underage winner. An exchange or cash payment of the prize is not possible.

If the winner does not respond within one week of being contacted personally, the prize will be forfeited.

Cancellation of the competition

The organiser expressly reserves the right to terminate the competition without prior notice and without giving reasons. This applies in particular to any reasons that would disrupt or prevent the competition from running as planned.

Data protection

It is not necessary to provide any personal data to take part in the competition. Any address data requested after the prize draw will only be used to send the prize and will be deleted immediately afterwards. 

The organiser points out that none of the participant's data will be passed on to third parties or made available to them for use without consent.

The competition is subject exclusively to the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. Legal recourse is excluded.

Severability clause

Should any provision of these conditions of participation be or become invalid in whole or in part, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these conditions of participation. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a legally permissible provision that comes as close as possible to the economic intent and purpose of the invalid provision. The same applies in the event of a loophole in these conditions of participation.
