AI-supported Control and Optimization of Automated Dispensing Processes
The overall goal of the IsoDispense 2.0 project is to develop an intelligent system for the automated and precise dispensing of materials in industrial production processes. It focuses on improving process stability, efficiency, and quality through the integration of digital technologies and data-driven methods.
Within the project, existing dispensing processes are first analyzed with regard to material behavior, process parameters, and environmental influences. Based on this, data is collected and used to develop models for describing and predicting dispensing behavior. These models are then integrated into a control system that enables adaptive and optimized process management.
Furthermore, methods for real-time monitoring and quality assurance are developed to detect deviations during the dispensing process and adjust parameters dynamically. The developed approaches are validated through experimental setups and demonstrators under realistic production conditions.
The project has a duration of two years. The project is funded within the framework of the Central Innovation Programme for SMEs (ZIM) by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).
For the project duration from Q4 2022 to Q3 2024, the following objectives are defined:
-
Analysis and characterization of dispensing processes and materials
-
Acquisition and processing of process data
-
Development of models for predicting dispensing behavior
-
Implementation of an adaptive control system for dispensing processes
-
Development of real-time monitoring and quality assurance methods
-
Experimental validation under realistic production conditions
-
Evaluation and optimization of process efficiency and accuracy
