Guidelines for Companies on Offering Patent-Protected Technologies from TH Wildau

TH Wildau is one of the leading universities of applied sciences in Germany in terms of research. As a company, you can benefit from inventions (products or processes) that have been patented by TH Wildau or for which a patent application has been filed.

Patents are considered the lifeblood of technological progress and protect innovative products or processes from imitation. If you are interested in our inventions, you have the following options:

• R&D collaboration or contract research:

We will develop a product or process together with you or on your behalf, based on a patented invention from TH Wildau. Once a market-ready product or process is developed, you can acquire a license for the relevant patent or purchase the patent yourself.

If you wish to ensure that you have exclusive rights to a TH Wildau patent for the duration of further development, we can agree on a patent license option. A patent license option is also possible if you yourself are responsible for the further development of the patented invention.

• Licensing:

You acquire an exclusive or non-exclusive patent license from TH Wildau to use or commercialize a patented product or process.

• Patent Purchase/Patent Assignment:

A TH Wildau patent is assigned to your company.
