Lunch & Learn: Balancing university life and care work - realities, roles and resources
Type of event: Talks / lectures
Venue: Webex
Organiser: Family Service Office and Career Centre for Professorial Development
Lunch & Learn ist all about grabbing lunch and new ideas all at once. The online format of the Career Centre for Professorial Development (KpE) provides exciting input on various university-related topics - tailored to your lunch break.
In summer semester 2026, KpE is teaming up with the Family Service Office at TH Wildau to present Lunch & Learn on the topic of care. In three sessions, expert Marina Dillmann, head of DERINA Bildungswerkstatt für Menschen im Gesundheitswesen (Educational Centre for People in Healthcare), will provide solid, informative and interesting insights into the broad topic of care and highlight ways to relieve the burden on caregivers.
Balancing university life and care work: realities, roles and resources
Part I: What exactly is care work – and are you a caregiver yourself?
- Where does support end and care begin?
- What distinguishes lay care from professional care?
- When is external specialist care necessary?
You can find all info on the event on the website.
Accessibility: The sessions will be held in spoken German. During the Q&A section, we will do our best to accommodate individual language requirements (German/English).
