NEXT STAYtion - Your Master in Wildau

The project develops targeted measures to support students in their decision to study for a master's degree at the university location.

German version

The project "NEXT STAYtion - Your Master in Wildau" aims to develop measures that support students in choosing their master's degree at the university location. It addresses both students who want to stay at TH Wildau ("STAY") and students who want to get to know TH Wildau as a possible next study station. For this purpose, specific offers and information possibilities for study orientation as well as measures for the promotion of social and professional exchange between students and teachers are created.

The project has the important task of strengthening the sense of belonging to the university location in order to keep students in the state of Brandenburg, especially during the transition phase from the bachelor's to the master's program and into the professional world. In order to achieve this goal, the project envisions the use of novel and previously unconsidered offers for study orientation at the transition from Bachelor to Master.

The project is planned for a period of three years in order to establish the developed offers and formats sustainably at the university and to be able to accompany the students effectively before and after the transition to a Master's program. The project is co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+).

The following goals are defined for the project period from 2023 to 2026:

  • Increase the number of students in the master's program at TH Wildau, through novel or demonstrably proven and optimized measures along the target group expectations.
  • Increase students' sense of belonging to the university, through measures to promote social and academic exchange between students and faculty.
  • Strengthening students' decision-making competencies before the transition from Bachelor's to Master's degree through tailored advising services along the student-life circle.
  • Introduction of new specific offers for study orientation at the transition from Bachelor to Master, involving local companies and networks.
  • Promotion of social and academic exchange between students and teachers as well as students from different disciplines.
  • Improved visibility of the university and better accessibility of the target group by means of digital information and advisory services.
