Welcome

The digitalization of companies is progressing on a daily basis, which means that employees are needed who understand how companies operate and are able to use new technologies. The Business Informatics degree course is geared towards this need and trains computer scientists who understand business contexts and processes (so-called business processes) and are able to analyse and digitize them.

A semester abroad is possible and is supported by TH Wildau's extensive network of partner institutions.

The Bachelor's program forms the basis for subsequent Master's programs.

Bachelor projects in the 4th and 5th semesterOpen areaClose area

Every year, students on the Business Computing Bachelor's degree programme in the 4th and 5th semesters carry out projects - mostly with clients from the region. The teams experience what it feels like to receive real project assignments from the business world. In addition to self-organisation and solution development, project implementation also includes clarifying the assignment, stakeholder management and project communication.

Here you can find project descriptions from recent years.

Final Semester:

An internship in the last semester gives you first insights into the respective professional fields.

The recognised degree is then awarded with a successful Bachelor's thesis.

Career Prospects

As the interface between business administration and computer science, Business Computing offers many areas of application, including in:

  •     Technology companies,
  •     production and service companies in the private sector,
  •     state or federal authorities, associations,
  •     management consultancies, banks, municipalities, counties,
  •     but also in self-employment.

Preparation courses

We recommend checking in good time as to whether it is useful for you to participate in study preparation courses prior to commencing your studies. Online tests in the subjects of mathematics, physics, information technology and technical mechanics will help you come to a decision. Prior knowledge in these subjects is an important basis for various study modules and therefore necessary for the success of your studies in light of past experience.
