Get your bike fit for the road!
The Bicycle Day on 1 October on the campus of TH Wildau offers students and employees the opportunity to actively experience the topic of sustainable mobility and to share the joy of cycling together.
Programme
The ‘Pedal Power’ morning
Bicycle safety check
- Have your bike checked by experienced mechanics!
- Minor repairs can be carried out on site.
- Period: 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Bicycle coding
- Have your bike coded by the Königs Wusterhausen police station.
- Coding is effective theft protection. It shows who owns the bike and makes it easy for the police to assign bikes found to their owners.
- Please bring proof of ownership, an identity card and, if necessary, a power of attorney from the owner.
- Period: 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The ‘Pedal Power’ afternoon
Joint cycle tour
- Discover the area around the campus of TH Wildau with a guided bike tour.
- from 3:30 p.m., meeting point in front of the Science Box on campus, duration approx. 1.5 hours
The ‘Pedal Power’ evening
The award-winning director Kristian Gründling travelled through Germany to track down the basic need for mobility. The result is a documentary film that gives science, mobility experts and primarily citizens a voice and allows viewers to experience first-hand what it means for people to get from A to B.
Cinema evening and panel discussion
- From 5:30 p.m. we will be showing a film on the subject of mobility in the Audimax, Hall 17.
- Film screening of ‘A Human Ride’
- Followed by a panel discussion with
- Rönke von der Heide (Co-Founder of DE DRIFFT and Zukunft Nahverkehr);
- Barbara Klebe (Head of Mobility and Cycling at the Brandenburg Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Planning)
- Frank Nerlich (Mayor of the university town of Wildau)
