Climbing

The indoor bouldering wall “die Gämse” is an inviting place for all “climbing generations” to boulder on varied and changing routes. The indoor climbing wall is in close proximity to TH Wildau and therefore offers members of the university an attractive opportunity to have a go at climbing and be physically active.

The term bouldering refers to climbing without a rope up to a height at which securing with mats on the ground is sufficient. The climbing requirement is to solve so-called "boulder problems", i.e. to line up individual maximally difficult climbing moves and movements. In addition to climbing-specific warming, different techniques are on the program (depending on your skill level). Basics of technology (last, slooper, open door), advanced techniques (Toehook, Heelhook, Dynamo).

University Sports is offering two climbing workshops in cooperation with Gämse.

In addition to the technique training, the prevention of boulder injuries is also part of the workshops (mocking, recognizing stress, stretching and derailing exercises).

The climbing workshops are suitable for both beginners and advanced, because we can respond individually to the individual participants due to the small group sizes (max. 8).
