Celebrating diversity - TH Wildau invites you to the International Afternoon on 14 November 2024

TH Wildau will be presenting itself internationally on campus on 14 November 2024. Together with the university's International Office, students and employees will present their home countries in Hall 17, serve culinary specialities to try, show traditional dishes and invite people to engage in intercultural exchange. Interested citizens from the region are very welcome.

With around 20 per cent foreign students from over 70 countries, Th Wildau - Technical University of Applied Sciences is a place of diversity. This will be celebrated on 14 November at the second International Afternoon this year. From 3 to 6 pm, students and staff will be presenting their countries of origin in the foyer of Hall 17. Visitors can embark on a little trip around the world - both in culinary terms and beyond - as the exhibitors are of international origin and have plenty in store for attendees. Delicacies from many countries will be on offer for tasting. Guests can learn about language and symbols, typical dances, instruments, music and rhythms, traditional clothing and much more. Staff from the International Office will also provide information about international study programmes and services. The International Afternoon is open to everyone - university members and interested members of the public are cordially invited.

"The countdown is on for our second International Afternoon this year and we are already full of anticipation. Every time, it's great to see how everyone attending, regardless of language barriers and cultural differences, gets talking, laughing and exchanging ideas. We look forward to welcoming many students, employees and local residents who want to get to know this diversity at our university and celebrate with us," says Carolina Winkler, long-standing organiser of the International Afternoon at TH Wildau.
