Intercultural Communication in English WorkshopsOpen areaClose area

We offer support to all university staff in communicating effectively in English in an international environment. We can design tailored group sessions for teaching staff, administrative staff, management, and support staff that focus on practical communication skills and intercultural exchanges in English — from writing clear emails and giving feedback to handling front-desk conversations, leading international meetings, and
navigating multicultural classrooms.

Our suggested format is an interactive 3-hour workshop that combines hands-on practice with useful strategies for everyday university life. Each workshop will cover relevant key vocabulary and phrases, and give participants to discuss case studies and practice specific scenarios with role-plays, and discuss best practices.

Should you and your team have other suggestions and needs, we would be happy to take
these into consideration.

Language Editing ServiceOpen areaClose area

Our Language Centre offers English-language editing and corrections for a range of university texts that have already been translated into English, usually through using DeepL. We work on internal documents as well as materials intended for external audiences, such as websites and promotional content. We focus on clarity, accuracy and academic style to help ensure the final versions are in idiomatic English and consistent with other TH Wildau texts.

All texts are reviewed by two native English speakers to provide a reliable, final version.

Turnaround time:

We aim to return edited texts within one week, although this may vary depending on the length of the text. During periods of high demand, processing times may be slightly longer.

How to submit your text:

Please note that the document should have already been translated before sending, and checked also against the university’s glossary. Please send your document as a Word file (to allow for easy editing) to translations@th-wildau.de and also include, when relevant, the original German document. In your email, please state your deadline and include any other relevant information (target audience, publication type, etc.).
