Engineering and Natural Sciences

Study objectives

The Industrial Engineering degree programme combines engineering and the natural sciences along with economics to give graduates an integrated approach to linking business roles with technical roles.

The academic element of the engineering sciences is directly linked to the business management aspects of the field. This puts industrial engineers in a position to develop technical solutions using an in-depth knowledge of economic contexts, enabling them to take the relationship between business and technology into account.

We recommend checking in good time as to whether it is useful for you to participate in study preparation courses (in German) prior to commencing your studies. Online tests in the subjects of mathematics, physics, information technology and technical mechanics will help you come to a decision. Prior knowledge in these subjects is an important basis for various study modules and therefore necessary for the success of your studies in light of past experience.
