... Don't panic – we’ve got you!

The Career. Application. Week. from February 2 to 6, 2026, offers you a compact introduction to the world of professional job applications. In daily hybrid workshops, we'll show you step by step how to apply for a job in Germany in a convincing and contemporary way – whether you're starting your career, looking for an internship, or taking the next step in your career.

Why you should participate

The week is an intensive crash course for students, alumni, and anyone interested in preparing themselves for the German job market. In compact sessions, professional career coaches and company representatives provide exclusive insights.

 

What to expect (programme)

In five consecutive workshops (10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. in German and 1:00–3:00 p.m. in English), we will answer the most important questions about your application:

You will learn how to use job platforms to search for internships and jobs in Germany and how to interpret the information in job adverts correctly.

03.02. | How do I create a compelling resume?

You will learn how to write a CV that is tailored to the job you want to apply for.

04.02. | How do I write a strong cover letter?

You will learn how to write a cover letter that is tailored to the job you want to apply for and complements your CV.

05.02. | How do I showcase my soft skills in a targeted manner?

Employers expect applicants to show initiative, communication skills, teamwork and many other soft skills. You will learn how to present your soft skills convincingly in your application documents and in job interviews.

06.02. | How do I prepare optimally for a job interview?

You will learn how to prepare for a job interview. You will receive tips on how to make a good impression and which common mistakes you should avoid.

How to participate in the workshops

Registering by email via career(at)th-wildau.de is helpful for our planning, but not required. A webex link for each session will be provided soon here, allowing you to participate online in addition to attending in person on campus. The sessions will take place in German in the morning and in English in the afternoon.
