+ Visit to the Metallurgy Summer School on Metal Additive Manufacturing in Bertinoro +

Three doctoral candidates from the Microsystems Technology/System Integration WG, led by Andrea Böhme, attended the Metallurgy Summer School on Metal Additive Manufacturing, organized by CoMET in Bertinoro, Italy. This event offers deep insights into the advantages and challenges of metal additive manufacturing. The program covers the state of the art, powder production, part characterization, lectures on specific cases of several industrially relevant alloys, and simulations to predict mechanical properties. The school is primarily aimed at doctoral students in engineering, materials science, physics, and chemistry, as well as technical staff from the industry.
