Short vita
Carolina Winkler attended the German School in San Salvador, El Salvador, where she received a trilingual education in Spanish, English and German. She then began her studies in Business Computing at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau in Germany. Her work at the International Office of the TH Wildau began in 2008 with the project “BIDS support initiative for German schools abroad”, which strengthens cooperation between German schools abroad and German universities. Since then, she has been coordinating cooperation with German schools abroad and the TH Wildau.
She focus on the following core tasks:
Strategic partnerships and collaborations
- Coordination and continuous maintenance of relationships with existing international schools worldwide
- Expanding the university network by initiating, negotiating and concluding new cooperation agreements and bilateral agreements with strategic partners, in particular with German schools abroad
- Strategic management, controlling and monitoring of ongoing cooperation projects with global partners
Digitalization and event management
- Conception and implementation of digitalization measures to optimize processes in the International Office
- Planning, organization and implementation of information events for international students
- Professional preparation and follow-up of international events such as fairs, delegation visits, etc.
Student support and services
- Development and implementation of standards for optimal organizational and study-related support for international students
- Careful evaluation and processing of incoming application documents, enrollment and data maintenance
- Competent advice and comprehensive support for international students on all organizational and study-related questions and concerns
