TH Wildau celebrates its 30th birthday

Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau celebrates its 30th anniversary on 22 October 2021 and we cordially invite you to celebrate this special day together with us.

+++ Virtual anniversary celebration via LIVESTREAM +++

On 22 October 2021, TH Wildau invited viewers to a virtual anniversary celebration. Together with the viewers, the university looked back on the past 30 years, highlighted current topics and took a look into the future. In addition, video greetings from numerous well-wishers were played - also from the international background.

The surprise of the evening came at the end: Bernd W., the small robot programmed in the Telematics degree programme at TH Wildau, congratulated the university with a personal birthday serenade and everyone joined in. Afterwards there was "a big smack" from the humanoid robot and "delicious, delicious cake" for everyone present. 

Cherno Jobatey, TV presenter and journalist, hosted the event, which was broadcast via livestream. The recorded livestream is still available on the TH Wildau YouTube channel (in German).

Welcome and joint panel discussion

At 5 p.m., Cherno Jobatey welcomed the audience connected via livestream and the actors on site, including the presidium of TH Wildau. Music, congratulations and more officially heralded the university's birthday.

Construction of a place of remembrance on the campus

As part of the anniversary, the history of locomotive production on the grounds of today's TH Wildau will be professionally reappraised. The results will then be installed as a place of remembrance on the campus in an artistic and creative manner.

Opening of the exhibition "Knowledge on the Move - 30 years TH Wildau"

The exhibition, which includes personal accounts of experiences, is looks back on 30 years of the TH Wildau, while at the same time depicting the changes that have taken place over the last three decades and thus providing an outlook for the future.
