RoboticLab

RoboticLab at the course Telematics

Telematics, as a scientific discipline in its own right, goes beyond computer science and requires its own system thinking, which requires special training. The number of telematics applications and fields of application is constantly increasing.

The NAO robot platform of the French company Aldebaran Robotics is a platform used worldwide in teaching and research. Experiences with the use of robots in teaching at the telematics programme of the Technische Hochschule Wildau—University of Applied Sciences and also internationally show that students are particularly highly motivated in such projects and thus achieve significantly better learning successes.

Students of the Telematics programme are involved in projects and theses on the possibilities of using humanoid robots in applied research.

Topics with NAOs in the laboratories are e.g. Human-Robot-Interaction in the therapeutic field, Robot-Robot-Interaction, Localization and Navigation or Perception and Cognition as well as Locomotion.

The Nibo2 robots of nicai systems are mainly used to enter the world of robotics.

The RoboticLab is open to students within the NaWiTex offering. Here students get to know the application areas of robots in modern robotics and applied computer science and see how to breathe life into robots.
