Services Winter Semester 2022/23

In order to ensure the highest quality of teaching and learning, materials such as handouts, presentation slides, assignment instructions, and exams should be easy to understand and clear. If you are looking for someone to take a look at any of these types of documents (or others that you use when teaching), please reach out to me. Please note that this is not a translation service.

Please use the contact form to send me your request. Once I receive your request, I will send you a confirmation stating whether or not I can meet your deadline and asking you to upload your document(s). Please note that while I’m happy to do this, proofreading is not my only task at Wildau so I can only dedicate a certain number of hours to it each week. For reference, I typically proofread ca. 2500 words an hour – but this is just an estimate, and I still encourage you to submit your document(s) as early as possible.

If you’d like me to drop by your lecture or seminar and offer some feedback, I would be happy to. I typically recommend at least three visits over the course of the semester and a follow-up meeting.

I am also available to support you with oral exams.

Once I receive your request, I will send you a confirmation stating whether or not I can attend your lectures. For the winter semester 2022/23, I typically have teaching duties on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

If you have questions or issues that can be resolved quickly, if you’d just like to speak English for a little bit, or even go for a quick coffee and a walk around campus, I’ll be offering both an inperson and virtual help desk twice a week. This is also available to non-teaching staff. For the upcoming winter semester (as of 19.09.22), the times will be as follows:

  • Wednesdays, 13:15 – 14:45 (in Wildau oder Webex)
  • Fridays, 9:45 – 11:15 (Webex)

If office hours have to be cancelled it will be communicated here. 

Email me for an appointment here or just drop in (though I may be busy). If you need a document to be proofread or if you’d like to arrange a course visit, please contact me separately about that (see above).
