All printed and electronic journal titles available at the library are findable via the library search engine WILBERT.

The copies of the printed journals from the current year are located on the 2nd floor and can be borrowed for two weeks. However, the most current issue of a journal cannot be borrowed.

Older volumes of printed journals are located on the 3rd floor and are sorted by call number (e.g. Z5).

The German Union Catalogue of Serials ZDB is the world’s largest specialised database for serial titles (journals, annuals, newspapers etc., incl. e-journals).

Currently ZDB contains more than 1.7 million bibliographic records of serials from the 16th century onwards, from all countries, in all languages, held in 4.400 German and Austrian libraries with 13.6 million holdings information. It does not contain contents, i. e. journal articles.

The Electronic Journals Library EZB is a service facilitating the use of scholarly journals on the internet. It offers a fast, structured and unified interface to access full-text articles online.

EZB comprises 92.000 journal titles from all areas of research; 19.000 of these are available online only. EZB contains 60.000 journal titles which are accessible free of charge to anyone. Furthermore, the participating libraries provide their users access to the journal titles they subscribe to.
